Why Kaleidoscope Abelia Shrubs?

Sturdy Growth + Vividly-Hued Foliage

Kaleidoscope Abelia (Abelia x grandiflora ‘Kaleidoscope’) brings a dazzling new twist to solid-color foliage. Glossy variegated leaves are splashed with colors of lemon-yellow and lime-green during the summer months, but the display becomes even more vivid in autumn when shades of ruby-red bring color to an otherwise drab winter garden.

As a member of the honeysuckle plant family, it should come as no surprise that Kaleidoscope Abelia has similarly shaped blooms. Its white flowers, sometimes with a hint of blush pink, are trumpet-shaped to hold the sweet nectar that hummingbirds and butterflies find irresistible. But don’t expect to find only a few flowers here and there- Kaleidoscope Abelia is covered in a profusion of blossoms that look like a summer snowstorm. Be sure to plant this shrub where you’ll enjoy the antics of tiny hummers and colorful butterflies flitting from flower to flower!

Basically, the hard work in growing your Abelia has been done, months before it even ships. Now, all that’s left for you to do is enjoy your new landscape focal point.

Your Kaleidoscope Abelia Shrub arrives with better branching, ready to take off. But don’t wait…order your own Kaleidoscope Abelia Shrub today!

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Dig a hole large enough to accommodate your shrub's root ball, backfill the soil and water to settle the roots.

Generally, the Kaleidoscope Abelia Shrub prefers well-drained soil and full to partial sun (4 to 6 hours of sunlight).

2. Watering: Let your soil dry to the touch down to about 2 inches in between waterings. Once your soil is dry, give your Kaleidoscope Abelia Shrub a deep watering at the base.

3. Fertilizing: Fertilize your shrub at the beginning of every spring with a well-balanced blend, and follow label instructions for best results.
